E!-(1)-!-----!-----!--4--!-----!-----!-----!-----!-----!-----! 3rd Here's a tip: These diminished runs are usually played over a 7th chord. If your 7th chord was say G7, then harmonicly you would want to play a F diminished over this (take my word for it). To keep things moving while improvising you start your diminished run on the G (3rd fret E string) then pick up the B (2nd Fret A string) on an F diminished run. This is harmonicly OK and also helps get the girls. GDIMH.AU 28kb Another G diminished Arpeggio (Vertical)E!-----!-----!--1--!-----!-----!--4--! B!-----!--1--!-----!-----!--4--!-----! Once you've got it in your fingers you will realise how usefull it is as one of the set arpeggois that is commonly used by Django and the Gypsy guitarists of today. I've played it slow so you can here how it goes. Transpose to different positions as required and work out how to start on the D string.
